Muslim Homeschoolers
About
Muslim Homeschoolers is a Muslim homeschool co-op serving families in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and the greater South Jersey area. The co-op meets weekly on Thursdays at GCLEA (Garden City Learning and Enrichment Academy) for a full day of workshops spanning early childhood through secondary levels, combining Islamic studies with secular academic subjects. Parents lead and co-facilitate workshops alongside guest instructors, and at least one parent per family is required to be on-site during co-op sessions, making it a hands-on cooperative rather than a drop-off program. Age groups range from Littles (babies/toddlers) and Playschool through Primary, Elementary, and Secondary (middle/high school), with subjects including Islamic studies, Arabic, STEM, language arts, and enrichment electives such as swim days, mentoring programs, and hands-on craft workshops. Beyond the Thursday co-op, the group also hosts a Monthly Family Meet-Up on the last Thursday of the month during off-co-op sessions, where families share a potluck meal and build community. The organization has been operating for roughly a decade and maintains active Facebook and Instagram pages alongside its own website. Enrollment runs on a semester basis (Fall and Spring), with tuition scaled by number of children enrolled and paid in full for a 12-week term.

I went there after having disappointing experiences with other Masjids and was pleasantly surprised by Imam Starling. His Kuthbas are relatable and in English and it hosts people of all backgrounds.
