Al Salaam Academy (ASA) is a coeducational, college-prep Islamic high school in Ellicott City, Maryland (Howard County), founded in 2020. While its core program is a full-time Islamic high school, ASA also runs a Grades 6-8 Learning Center specifically designed for homeschooled and online-enrolled students who benefit from a structured, supervised academic environment. In the Learning Center, students remain enrolled with their own homeschool or virtual education provider (examples listed include K12, Connections Academy, Acellus, Power Homeschool, Keystone, Bridgeway, Time4Learning, or another approved provider) while attending the Center for in-person supervision, academic assistance, assignment monitoring, organizational coaching, and study-skills support. Full-Time Learning Center students also receive Qur'an and Islamic Studies instruction; the Center itself does not provide curriculum, textbooks, grades, transcripts, or diplomas, since students' academic record stays with their home program. Two enrollment tracks are offered: Full-Time (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-3:00 PM, $8,500/year) and Part-Time (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, $4,500/year). Students are expected to bring their own device, curriculum materials, and supplies. ASA is listed by the Maryland State Department of Education as an Approved Nonpublic School in Howard County, and separately offers an after-school tutoring program, a Hifdh and Ijazah program, and a Maktab program through its broader Al-Salaam Center network.
